Written by Yvonne Fein and directed by Charles Slucki (z”l)
Commissioned by the Jewish Museum of Australia in conjunction with the National Council of Jewish Women (Victoria), it is a performance of approximately 90 minutes. Utilizing song, dance, poetry and drama based on ancient texts, 10 actors, all female, take the audience on a tragic-comic journey through the millennia to examine the plight, predicament and power of what it means to be Jewish and female – then and now – at the mercy of one of the original patriarchies. The show was performed to a sell-out audience on one night only in Melbourne. It has since been invited to perform at the Magdalena Festival in Brisbane on 15th April.
